Mongol is an Oscar-nominated historical epic directed by Russian filmmaker Sergei Bodrov (Nomad). The film chronicles the early life of Genghis Khan, who was a slave before going on to conquer half the world in 1206. I'll admit that this latest trailer does look pretty damn entertaining, but for some odd reason I still really have no interest in this. But as always, I'm running this for all of you to see and make a judgment on your own. Mentioning that it was nominated for an Oscar should be enough to prove to you that this is no forgettable foreign film. Take a look at the new trailer and share your thoughts below.

Mongol is directed and co-written by Russian filmmaker Sergei Bodrov, of Prisoner of the Mountains, Bear's Kiss, and Nomad. This is first part in a planned trilogy about the epic, violent, and romantic life of Genghis Khan. The film arrives in limited theaters on June 6th this summer...

故事介绍：

　　影片讲述了成吉思汗这个声名响彻欧亚大陆的一代霸主的早年生活。小时候的成吉思汗在饥饿、屈辱和奴役中饱受煎熬，而正是这种非人的残酷境遇让成吉思汗练就了钢铁般的意志与永不屈服的雄心铁胆。正所谓“天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心智，劳其筋骨，空乏其身”，影片也正是从成长的角度将镜头对准了一代天骄早年多磨难的生活，向世人展示了千秋霸业是如何从最不起眼的小事开始做起，而过去的痛苦与挫折总是我们成功之路上享用不尽的财富。

       俄罗斯著名电影导演谢尔盖·博德罗夫指导的有关讲述成吉思汗生平的电影《蒙古王》。《蒙古王》拍摄历时4年，分别在中国、蒙古和哈萨克斯坦取景，一共耗资1500万欧元，这个投入按照俄罗斯标准来说非常多。电影中的宏大制作是成吉思汗与其兄扎木合(中国演员孙红雷扮演)对阵的那段。仅此一段的拍摄就耗资200万欧元，试镜工作花费了2个月。
